How to play at 30

Match cast speed to the next hit; Binding Heal matters when both you and an ally are hurt.

30 · Holy spell solo

A safe casting lane and a wand if equipped; no assumption of Shadowform.

  1. 1

    Open Holy Fire then Smite

Use Holy Fire then Smite from range. Divine Fury, if selected, shortens its listed casts; preserve enough Mana for Heal before a new pull rather than pressing the most expensive spell every time.

    Abilities, conditions & paragraph sources

The sequence is our recommendation. Linked client records support the mechanics and gates; they do not prove a measured optimal rotation.

    Talents Forever · priest client exporttalents tree/name/rank and spell_desc class|spell|rank; local content/talents.json and content/spells.json, build 1.60.1.70291
  2. 2

Use a free Nova only when it appears

If both Holy Nova and Searing Light are selected and Holy Fire triggers a free Holy Nova, use it only when the nearby area is safe. Searing Light alone does not grant Holy Nova. Without that buff, a selected Nova still has a Mana cost and can hit extra enemies.

  3. 3

    Heal the real gaps

Binding Heal, if selected, heals you and an ally; solo self-recovery can use the available self-targetable heal instead. Shield to buy a cast window, then refill Mana safely between pulls.

The sequence is our recommendation. Linked client records support the mechanics and gates; they do not prove a measured optimal rotation.

30 · Direct healing and movement

Assigned healing targets; both personal and tank health visible.

  1. 1

Position and protect the next cast

Buff Fortitude and Divine Spirit, keep safe line of sight, and use Heal ahead of a predictable tank gap. If the next hit arrives too soon, Flash Heal or Shield can bridge it.

  2. 2

Two hurt targets make Binding Heal useful

Use Binding Heal when you and the ally both need recovery and its short cast fits the event. Renew can cover gradual damage; stop chasing full health on every target while the tank faces a spike.

  3. 3

Alternate only when the heals are useful

Litany of Light, if selected, refunds on a different healing spell name from the previous one. Alternate Heal, Renew or Binding Heal only when each fits a real gap; using an unnecessary heal to trigger it spends Mana too.

30 · Group recovery

Several allies injured; compare casted party healing with close-range Nova.

  1. 1

    Choose the correct party center

Prayer of Healing heals the target and that target’s party within its range. Use it when several gaps justify the cost and no one will die before the cast lands; rescue the immediate danger first.

  2. 2

Nova needs nearby allies and safe enemies

If Holy Nova is selected, it heals nearby party members and also damages nearby enemies. Use it for a useful local recovery or an actual free proc from selected Searing Light; do not move into melee danger or break control merely to reach more allies. Without the Holy Nova talent, use the available direct heals or Prayer of Healing instead.

  3. 3

Dispels and threat recovery reduce damage

Dispel Magic and Cure Disease on assigned effects, Fade if healing brings a loose add, and move toward the tank’s pickup lane. Psychic Scream requires a clear space, not a default group-heal button.

Choose for the job in front of you

LEVEL BY LEVEL · ORDINARY POINT BUDGET

Your route from 10 to 60

Pick the route for your activity, then the level you need. Start at 30 for the last verified Beta stage. Later levels remain a separate plan.

Party direct heals and triage

Current 10–30: direct heals, Renew and Binding Heal for a leveling party. Future 31–60: Prayer of Mending and deeper healing, then Discipline Mana support.

When to use this route and what you give up
Use it when
Choose this when healing is the regular job and you need to recover both yourself and an ally after shared damage. Match casts to real damage; Litany does not justify an unnecessary heal just to alternate names. The allocation order is editorial.
Trade-off
The 21st point begins Litany rather than Spirit of Redemption or Spiritual Guidance. The final 35 Holy / 16 Discipline build delays Meditation until 55 and Inner Focus until 60; it has no Penance or Soul Warding.
Change direction when
Choose Discipline when absorb management is the party’s recurring need. Choose Shadow or a separately planned Holy-damage allocation for mostly solo quests.

This level: Litany of Light 1/2

Mistakes that change the outcome

  • No Prayer of Mending at 30

The bouncing heal is a thirty-one-point talent from 40. Prayer of Healing at 30 is a different, casted party spell.

    Abilities, conditions & paragraph sources

The sequence is our recommendation. Linked client records support the mechanics and gates; they do not prove a measured optimal rotation.

  • Death is not a planned healing cooldown

Spirit of Redemption only activates after death if selected. Surviving and positioning safely remain more reliable than deliberately dying for a heal window.

Stat priorities at 30

Upgrade priorities for level-30 play, not simulated stat weights. First keep enough health and resources for your role; compare upgrades of similar level. Hit and critical chance depend on the target and your allocated talents; no universal cap is assumed.

  1. Healing
  2. Spirit
  3. Intellect
  4. Stamina

For repeated dungeon healing, compare healing power and sustainable Mana together. Litany of Light rewards changing heal names when talented; extra Spirit does not replace good spell selection.
