How to play at 30
Let the pet establish the pull; choose Hawk or Arcane Shot on their shared cooldown.
30 · Pet-led single target
Pet summoned, fed, alive and able to reach the target; room beyond the ranged dead zone.
- 1

Pet first, ranged second
Send the pet to one enemy, allow its threat to establish, then use Hunter’s Mark and Auto Shot from outside eight yards. Mend Pet before its health gap becomes an emergency.

Choose the shared shot
A talented Summon Hawk shares Arcane Shot’s cooldown, so choose it when the enemy will survive the Hawk’s attacks. A short-lived target may favor a direct Arcane Shot; keep Mana for pet recovery.

Concussive Shot and a correctly placed Freezing Trap can buy space on a valid un-dotted add. If the pet dies, avoid continuing an expensive ranged cast in the dead zone; retreat and revive safely.

Set pet behavior for the task
Use controlled pet attacks and disable Growl unless a temporary pet-tank job is assigned. Dismiss for unsafe jumps or routes; a pet taking a long path can pull extra enemies.

Pet stun needs an actual pet hit
Intimidation at 21 points requires Bestial Swiftness and a pet’s next successful attack. Use it on a susceptible danger, but call for a teammate’s reliable interrupt when pet travel or immunity makes it late.

Your route from 10 to 60
Pick the route for your activity, then the level you need. Start at 30 for the last verified Beta stage. Later levels remain a separate plan.
Solo pet · Durable pickup and control
Quest with a living, trained permanent pet taking the first hits; use pet recovery when a difficult pull would otherwise force a restart.
When to use this route and what you give up
- Use it when
- 10–30 follows the last-announced Beta cap; 31–60 is a future projection. Choose when the pet is your solo tank and part of your damage. Summon Hawk arrives at 25, Intimidation at 30 and projected Bestial Wrath at 40.
- Trade-off
- Pet health and recovery take early points that could raise personal attack speed. Hawk shares Arcane Shot’s cooldown, and pet-dependent bonuses are lost when the permanent pet dies.
- Change direction when
- If your pet reliably survives, move Improved Revive Pet ranks into Deadly Aspects or Pathfinding. Use the Marksmanship route for a larger personal ranged package.
Level 30 · 21 points · Talented 0/5
At 30, the next successful pet attack can stun and generate high threat. Account for pet travel and attack timing before a rescue deadline.
