How to play at 30
Plan the opener and control target; choose Hemorrhage or Preparation at the ordinary cap.
30 · Stealth and bleed route
Hemorrhage route selected; clean escape space and Flash Powder ready.

Spend Premeditation before it expires
Use selected Premeditation on the target, then start the planned Cheap Shot, Ambush or Garrote. Add or spend its two points within twenty seconds; Ambush needs its dagger and positioning requirements.

Control target assigned before combat; keep periodic damage off it.

Distract and Sap before pickup
Use Distract for a safe approach, then Sap a valid out-of-combat Humanoid while stealthed. Its current baseline behavior retains Stealth; a target already in combat is not valid.

30 · Isolate and focus
No assumed area-damage button; one controlled enemy and one kill target.

Keep controlled targets clean
Sap one before combat, leave it without Garrote, Rupture or poison ticks, and focus the marked target. A bleed route makes reactive Gouge on that same target unreliable.

Your route from 10 to 60
Pick the route for your activity, then the level you need. Start at 30 for the last verified Beta stage. Later levels remain a separate plan.
Stealth setups and sustained bleeds
Current 10–30: plan a stealth opener, Sap an eligible extra enemy and use Hemorrhage/Rupture on a durable target at 30. Future 31–60: Preparation, bleed Energy discounts and finisher economy.
When to use this route and what you give up
- Use it when
- Choose this when bypassing enemies and controlling a pull are recurring needs, and the main enemy lives long enough for bleeds. Premeditation requires a prompt opener; no damage goes onto the controlled target. The order is editorial and uses Hemorrhage rather than a Cutthroat Backstab build.
- Trade-off
- Hemorrhage at 30 displaces Preparation until 31. Early Setup supports solo incoming swings and is less useful behind a tank. The final 35 Subtlety / 16 Assassination split omits Cutthroat and longer Slice and Dice; late Gouge is for a clean target because bleeds can break it.
- Change direction when
- Choose Combat for repeated direct builders without stealth setup, or Assassination for a two-dagger poison-buff cycle. If enemies die before Rupture ticks, use a direct finisher or choose the direct route.
Level 30 · 21 points · Talented 0/5
At 30, gain a builder that increases your Rupture damage on the target; it is a personal effect, not shared raid bleed support.
